Production System Definition

Creating an efficient system of producing deliverables by implementing the Lean principles of pull, flow, takt, and zero defects.

 

Step 1: Crew and Work Package Definition

Defining a production system starts with creating packages of work that can be completed uninterrupted in a relatively short amount of time. By understanding what constitutes an “uninterrupted” package, we are able to see and visualize the potential roadblocks that prevent the continuous flow of a process.

Step 2: Labor Plan and Content Creation

During this stage we are able to create a labor plan that assigns specific resources/crews to each work package. We review our customer demand and create a plan that provides clarity around the when/what/why/how. The focus is on creating a plan the prioritizes stability and avoid creating an “over optimized” plan. We populate the work packages with everything necessary to perform the scope as outlined in the work package definition.

Step 3: Application and Continuous Improvement

Implementation of the labor plan and introduction of the work packages.. Following change management and transformational guidelines
